Sharing God's gifts, we joyfully serve!
We will nurture and grow our faith family,
centered on Word and sacrament, by exemplifying
the love of Christ as we respond to the needs of
one another and our world.

A Message from Pastor Dennis
Pastor Walker is Trinity's contact pastor
during our transition.
One of the more interesting of the many
scientific concepts explored and expanded by
Albert Einstein in his long career was that which
we now know as "Black Holes." Einstein predicted
these entities, which later experiments have
confirmed. A "Black Hole" is sometimes known as a
"Singularity." It is a place where stars go to die
once their nuclear fuel burns out. When this
happens, all dimensions of matter collapse in a
gravity field so dense that nothing survives in
its previous material form. We can't see these
entities because the light we would need to do so
is also unable to escape from a Black Hole's
A big Thank You to those who have provided
and are continuing to provide Estimated Giving
inputs for next year. As of today we have a
total of 95 giving units who have responded out of
an anticipated close to 100 giving units.
Although we're nearing last year's estimated
giving, we need as many inputs as possible to help
Council firm up next year's planned mission
activities. If you haven't taken the
opportunity to provide your input, please do as
soon as practical. As St Paul reminds us
"Each of you must give as you have made up your
mind . . . And God is able to provide you with
every blessing in abundance, so that by always
having enough of everything, you may share
abundantly in every good work." II Cor

St. Paul's Soup Kitchen
Merry Christmas to all! Listed below
are the items needed for out next serving at St.
Paul's Soup Kitchen on January
No need to make an ongoing
commitment...make a one-time donation, serve as
often or as little as your schedule allows, or
come just to set-up or clean up if you can't stay
for the entire meal. We're flexible and we bet
you'll enjoy the ministry!
St. Pauls' Soup Kitchen is a fantastic
ministry serving the needs of between 85 to 100+
guests every month.
Here is a grid which includes items
that are needed. Feel free to drop off
your items to the church before Tuesday if that's
more convenient for you. Label your items for St.
Paul's and you can leave them in the refrigerator
or freezer in the church kitchen. It's as easy as
Thanks for all your help for this
Please drop off donations to Trinity
between Sunday and 3PM on Tuesday of the week we
will be serving. If donations are being
delivered directly to the soup kitchen, please
bring to Eliot Presbyterian Church by 4PM the day
of the meal.
We - and all the people who are
homeless or needing to stretch their budget -

Special Winter Coat Drive by January
Social Ministry at Trinity Lutheran Church
(TLC) is participating in a joint project with American Training
to collect new, or gently
used winter coats, until January 5,
Gary Wells, Trinity coordinator for Lowell
Transitional Living Center (LTLC), has contacted
administration personnel at LTLC regarding them
being one of the recipients for this special drive
for winter coats. George Peterson, member of
TLC and Social Ministry, works for Vanway and has
volunteered to do the pickup and delivery to
Anton's Cleaners from where the coats will be
delivered after cleaning.
Social Ministry is supporting this project to
help American Training / Vanway because it has the
potential to become a more expansive charity for
those in need in the future. Trinity will
continue its direct support and involvement with
LTLC, but Social Ministry thinks this winter coat
drive will provide special emphasis and support
for this specific need at this time of year.
Please bring any gently used winter coats to
Trinity and deposit them in the special storage
container in the usual drop-off location at TLC
that is for LTLC and Open Pantry items by January
5. We apologize for the short notice on
this, but that is the way the chain of events
occurred this first time with Trinity's
