Trinity's History

Pastor Theresa Bianchi
This week we again welcome Pastor Theresa Bianchi to Trinity's pulpit.

A Message from Pastor Dennis Walker
Pastor Walker is Trinity's contact pastor during our transition.

A fellow Pastor, who lived through the Springfield Tornado five years ago, explained that the sky turned green shortly before it destroyed a neighbor's home about 100 feet away. For some time, there has been a persistent belief that a home owner facing a tornado can open all the doors and windows, which will "equalize" storm pressure, thereby minimizing damage.
A recent TV video documented a controlled experiment to test this "hope." Expert builders constructed two identical two-story homes side-by-side within a large hanger-like wind tunnel. The fans activated, producing ever higher wind forces against the ends of each house. One had all doors and windows forced open, while the other had them all closed. At 95 MPH, the "open" house completely disintegrated, while the other stood tall. Experts conducting the test explained that the openings served not to protect the home, but to intensify the wind within each room lifting the roof off and collapsing the walls.
Just like storm survival, spiritual survival through adversity begins in the calm before life's storms. Good preparation installs Jesus Christ for total protection as "God with us" in any and every storm. It doesn't hurt to open the window to your soul for a fresh breeze, but in adversity, don't let a whirlwind come in where Jesus should be instead!

Grace & Peace,
Pastor Dennis Walker

Ready for your close-up?
In preparation to welcome our next pastor, whenever that may be, we are starting to ramp up ways to help him/her feel more welcome and integrate well into our congregation. One of those ways is to have a pictorial directory. Our website can display photos of families and individuals with all their contact information, so we hope to have photos of all our congregational members entered into the directory. If you already have a family and/or individual photo in the directory, there is nothing for you to do, but if not, we're asking that you take a few minutes to upload photos of yourself, your family, and each family member. Even each child should have their own photo. This way our next pastor will be able to put names and faces together very quickly.
If you are unable to upload a photo, please email photos to me, Pauline Ray or give me a paper copy which I can scan and enter into the directory.  You can place your photo in the Property mail drawer next to the copy machine, and Jim will make sure I get them.
Remember, our directory is only available to congregation members, no one outside our church has access to our directory.

TLC Transition
During our transitional phase Trinity has several layers of support available.

We have an ELCA appointed contact pastor - Dennis Walker - who can assist as needed. Pastor Walker lives in Amherst, MA and can be here at Trinity if needed for pastoral support.

Beth and the Worship and Music committee have arranged for supply pastors to support our weekly worship through the summer.  Some of the pastors on that list are also available for urgent care.

A call to the Church Office 978-256-6300 or an email to our Parish Administrator, Beth Confrancisco, is always a good start.
Of course our congregational executive committee is also available to respond to questions/inquiries.
